Extra holiday entitlement days

Accrual of extra holiday entitlement days

The extra holiday entitlement days are accrued during the calendar year, 1 January to 31 December.

You accrue 0.42 extra holiday entitlement days with pay per month of employment, corresponding to five days per year.

For employment periods of less than one month, extra holiday entitlement days are accrued according to the length of employment.

Using extra holiday entitlement days

Extra holiday entitlement days are used in the holiday year (1 May to 30 April) after the calendar year in which they are accrued.

The scheduling of extra holiday entitlement days is arranged by agreement between the school and the teacher.

The holiday is to be scheduled according to the teacher’s wishes, to the extent that this is compatible with the school’s service obligations. The teacher must provide notice of this holiday as early as possible.

This holiday may be used as individual days or as fractions of days.

If the days are not used or the time for them to be used has not been determined by 1 January at the latest, the school can notify you of when the days are to be used with one month’s notice.
