As a teacher or reception class educator, you have five weeks of holiday under the Danish Holidays Act. You also have five extra holiday entitlement days that are provided by the collective agreement.
Holiday is taken during the holiday use period, which runs from 1 September to 31 December the following year (16 months).
The scheduling of holiday for teachers and reception class educators is agreed in the collective agreement:
Thus, there are 25 days of holiday when calculating the annual norm according to the working hours.
The school can schedule the holiday differently, but it must provide notice in good time. See the rules on notice below.
As stated above, the collective agreement specifies when you are to take holiday. However, the school may change the scheduling of your holiday.
If you wish to take compensatory holiday or if the school terminates you, the school may notify you of holiday that is to be taken.
