The locally agreed salary components are agreed between the school’s union representative and the school administration. The teachers’ representative is entitled to negotiations once a year.
The locally agreed salary may consist of four different salary components:
Function supplement
Qualification supplement
Lump sum supplement
Performance-based pay
Function supplement
A function supplement is used to reward an employee or groups of employees who perform special functions and specific tasks.
The function supplements can be agreed for functions such as:
Union representative
Employee representative on the school’s board
School librarian function
School guidance
Class teacher functions
Tasks in connection with children/students requiring special care and attention
Special functions in connection with development tasks/projects
Supervision in relation to subject groups
Development of the individual subjects
Special coordinating functions
Chairing meetings for the pedagogical council / employee council / teachers’ council / advisory body
Pension on functional supplement
Pensionable for employees with an insurance pension scheme (Lærernes Pension).
Pensionable for employees with an occupational pension scheme, if agreed between the union representative and the school’s administration.
